mobile asphalt mixing plant

HAMAC builds mobile asphalt mixing plant units in three layouts: stationary (bolted or foundation-mounted), mobile units that fold onto one chassis and tow to the next site, and compact dry-mix skip-hoist plants for remote jobs where a belt conveyor is not practical. Each uses the same weighing hardware and the same control platform, so operators can move between them without retraining.

A mobile asphalt mixing plant is the heart of any ready-mix operation. Aggregates are stored in bins, weighed on load cells, transferred by skip hoist or belt conveyor, then discharged together with cement, water and admixtures into either a twin-shaft mixer or — on dry-mix layouts — straight into the truck drum. Holding that sequence inside a ±1% weighing tolerance, hour after hour, is what separates a plant that sells concrete from a plant that makes complaints.

Buyers usually compare two things: whether the machine will hold its rated output on a hot day with damp aggregates, and whether anyone will answer the phone in year three. HAMAC designs for both.

Key Advantages of mobile asphalt mixing plant

Cement handling without dust

Bolted silos with cartridge filters, level indicators and aeration pads that keep cement flowing in humid weather.

Fast site transfer

Mobile versions fold with silo and conveyor attached; one tractor unit and one day are enough to be pouring again.

Built for hot climates

Optional chilled water plant, ice weighing and aggregate shading keep concrete below 30°C on Gulf and African jobsites.

Weighing accuracy held to ±1%

Independent load cells per aggregate, per cement and per water line, with automatic drip compensation on every batch.

Traceable batch records

Every batch logs mix design, actual weights, moisture correction and truck number, exportable for quality audits.

Mixer options to suit the mix

Twin-shaft for high-strength and pumped mixes, planetary for precast and coloured concrete, pan for dry-cast block production.

Technical Parameters

Indicative ranges for standard configurations. Final values are confirmed against your project requirements.

Typical Applications

On typical projects this equipment is selected where output reliability governs the whole schedule.

Precast factories

Consistent low-slump or zero-slump mixes feeding block machines and moulds

Remote road camps

Mobile plants moved along the alignment as paving advances

Port and marine works

High-volume, sulphate-resistant mixes placed by pump or tremie

Large infrastructure projects

Dedicated on-site plants for dams, bridges, airports and rail corridors

Mining and industrial sites

Captive plants producing mass fill, shotcrete and foundation concrete

From Enquiry to Commissioning

Six defined stages, each with named deliverables, so nothing is left to interpretation.

Requirement study

We start with your mix design, hourly output target, aggregate size, jobsite power supply and site layout — not with a catalogue page.

Scheme design

Our engineering team issues a layout drawing, foundation loads, power requirement and an equipment list matched to the target output.

Quotation & contract

A fixed specification quotation with clear technical annexes protects both sides; no vague "standard configuration" wording.

Production & inspection

Weekly production photos, welding and pressure test records, plus third-party inspection if your project requires it.

Delivery & installation

Container or break-bulk shipment, then on-site supervision of assembly, alignment, calibration and dry-run.

After-sales

Remote diagnostics by video call, spare parts dispatch within 48 hours for stocked items, and periodic return visits.

Frequently Asked Questions about mobile asphalt mixing plant

Should I choose wet-mix or dry-mix?
Wet-mix (central mix) gives better homogeneity, lower cement consumption for the same strength and faster discharge cycles — it is the normal choice for ready-mix. Dry-mix costs less and moves more easily, and works well when trucks mix en route on short hauls.
What about very hot or very cold weather?
For hot climates we offer chiller units and flake ice weighing; for cold climates, aggregate heating, hot water boilers and enclosure cladding.
How long does installation take?
A mobile plant is producing within 2-3 days. A stationary plant typically needs 15-25 days including foundation curing.
Can it run on a generator?
Yes. We size the genset with the mixer start-up surge in mind — usually 1.6x running load — and can add soft starters to reduce it.
How much land does the plant need?
A 60 m³/h stationary plant with two 100 t silos needs roughly 30 x 25 m including truck circulation; mobile versions need about half that.
